Tooth Fairy visit...

Avery lost her first tooth. She lost it in the car on the way home from celebrating GG's Birthday. She had been wiggling at it for a few days and she just twisted it in the car and pop....out it came. She was really excited to get some money from the Tooth Fairy.

Best picture to show off the missing tooth and its with my favorite new niece Isabelle Kate!!
Avery received $1 for the Tooth Fairy and saving it to buy something "cool" with....

Painting Nails

One of Papa's duties is to clip finger and toe nails. He just seemed to take that duty on. The girls are not HUGE fans of this task so we have to bribe with painting of the new trimmed nails.

Papa painting Natale's

Avery's turn

Natale watching intently.
This was FUN watching, but Papa may not be too happy with this post.

Big Yellow Bus

Avery's 2nd day of school meant we'd be catching the school bus in the early morning. Avery has been talking non-stop about the riding the bus ALL summer long. Mama was a bit nervous about her being on the bus for almost an hour before school started. I talked to several neighbors that were also going to put their Kindy's on the bus, I felt a bit better knowing that Avery had two little friends on the bus with to keep her company. Avery was SO EXCITED to ride the bus!! Here is our adventure to the bus stop on the first day.
Walking to the stop...

Avery saying "BYE Mama!!"

My BIG Baby Girl getting on the BIG YELLOW BEAST!! *sniff, sniff

Had FUN on the BUS too, can I do it again tomorrow??!!

First Day of Kindergarten

Avery walking into her new school on her 1st Day of Kindergarten

Avery with her teacher Mrs. Flath

The first day of school for Avery was a casual, open house kind of day. We arrived met her Teacher, Mrs Flath and several of her classmates. She found her desk and put her supplies away. Avery played with her classmates while Mama filled out several parent forms. Avery completed a coloring sheet and then Mama took her on a scavenger hunt to find the bathrooms, playground area, main office (met the principal), gym, lunch room commons, library and the music room. Avery was very excited to have a NORMAL school day at Kindergarten and take the BIG YELLOW bus.....

Mama was on an emotional roller coaster during these BIG days. Its amazing how you go from having her around 95% on the time then she is gone for 8 + hrs a day. I am SO proud of my daughter, she is glowing with happiness after a day of school. She is extremely tired at night and wakes up at 7 am sharp every morning. She even asked "why we can't go 6 days?" (documented) Really?? We have our Parent/Teacher conferences in October and will let you know how she is doing....,but according to Mrs Flath at curriculum night, "Avery is a real Delight" :)

Graduation from Pre-K

Avery graduated from PRE-K!! At the Spring program the kids sang several of their songs. The teachers then called the kids out for their certificate. It was precious!! Ms Amy and Ms Kayla are fantastic teachers and we are looking forward to sending Natale to Lake Country Preschool next year.

He has been a GREAT addition to our family. He is SO loving and very playful. He is up to date on all his shots and will be getting fixed in June. He has the run of the house and makes anything a play thingy!! :) We have LOTS and LOTS of giggles with our new kitten.

He LOVES playing in the blinds, looking out the window at bugs or flying things, and He even attacks his reflection at night...he is pretty FUNNY!! He also has taken possession of the girls play tent that is in the living room. He runs through it and attacks from it and plays in it for hours and hours. He is VERY entertaining!

planting flowers and finding bugs

This spring, we wanted to put some height in our front flower bed, so we planted a few Alaskan weeping cedars. We also added some colorful perennials, Azalea bushes, and several poppy plants (Joe's favorite) that will brighten our pathway to the front door. We also bought a few Espalier (branched out to grow on trellis) fruit trees that we hope will bear apples and pears in the summer and fall.

Our front yard....our grass is so green.....for now!! :)

On another sunny Pre-spring day, Mama and the girls took a trip to the Home Depot and bought a few primroses and seeds packets for some outside springtime planting. Avery and Mama were able to get outside to get the flowers planted and watered while Natale took a nap.
Avery showing off her 5 primroses
After planting the flowers, Mama & Avery started pulling weeds and sorting out the rocks in the backyard that still needs to be landscaped. But that HUGE project will be done in the near future. While Mama was busy digging and racking she found some critters....
a few juicy worms

I Love Lady Bugs and hope they might bring us some "Good Luck" because we saw 3 of them that afternoon. We hope to share more of our outdoor garden adventures soon!!

MR. T

Joe had been planning to be Mr T for Halloween for over a year now. Joe had some industrial strength black Velcro, we bought brown face paint, gold chains, and a $40 flight suit. I thought we were looking good.....

Mama applying the make-up and
Avery is the photographer

coloring his hands
But Joe thought He didn't look anything like Mr T, needed MORE bling, and the blue eyes don't help either. BUT He looked GREAT!!
