A soggy day at the zoo!!

GG wanted to go the Puyallup Fair and Auntie Krissy and Mama said how about the zoo, so zoo it was. We decided to go to the zoo even though it was a pretty soggy day. Avery and Danielle were in rain coats and we bought them cute umbrellas at the gift shop. (blue elephant and pink butterfly) Natale was wrapped up against Mama and protected by the big umbrella. The girls rode most of the trails at the zoo in the wagon. Auntie Krissy did a great job pulling them around. Mama did the pulling a few times too. We dodged puddles and tried our best to stay dry(unsuccessfully). We saw the animals we wanted to see and we all were exhausted when we got to the car.

The lion also under a big tree taking a nap

The girls did get out and walk. They loved running through the puddles.

The bears...we actually found out that these bears are actually from WSU.
FYI: WSU has a research program that usually produces new baby bears every year.

We will definitely be back to the zoo again soon. We saw hippos, giraffes, elephants, bears, lions, tigers, elk, river otters, mountain goats, jaguar, kangaroos, gorillas and lots of different birds. We are looking forward to the next visit with no rain!!
