On Wednesday 9/3 Avery had an Eye doctor appointment. This was not her first visit to the Family Eye Doctors in Redmond. For the last 6 months or so, Avery has had several styes in both eyes. We had been to her pediatrician and the eye doctors and have gotten lots of drops and ointment. We use hot rocks wrapped in towels as a hot compress. This appointment Avery's eyes were dilated and examined for the need for glasses. She will not need glasses and the Doctor said everything looked good. I mentioned that her parents both have perfect vision so she has good genes. We won't have to go back for 2 years unless something comes up.

FYI: Styes are pimples in the eyelids. There is usually a blockage at the hair follicle at an eyelash. We now have a very strict hand washing system and we make sure to clean our eyes with soap at bath time.
