Pumpkim Carving

When we visited the pumpkin patch earlier this month, we picked out two pumpkins to carve this Halloween. So last Sunday, we started carving, and finished on Tuesday night. I found a really cute puppy pattern for the smaller pumpkin and the big pumpkin became a jack-o-lantern. Joe cut the tops off and unloaded all the guts. Avery loved watching it, but thought that the guts were pretty slimy. Mama did the face carving.

BEFORE........this was the "papa one" as Avery would say

We have some holiday baskets Avery loves to play with and we had to capture this cute photo opportunity!!

Pumpkin guts.....I did a good job separating the seeds for my mom to roast, but I forgot to bring them to her on Saturday and they were starting to smell bad....sorry mom!

Joe starting to take the top and gut the pumpkin

Avery eating her banana cake while she watches Mama carved out the pumpkin face.
(yes those are Avery panties on the table to her right, we are working on potty training. Avery is doing pretty good......we are taking it just one day at a time!!)

This was the doggy face......Mama had a hard time with the ears
